My Summary
Passionate About Feeling Loved And Secure
About Me
I strongly believe that during their first three years, babies and toddlers need to feel unconditionally loved and form secure attachments—it builds the foundation for how they view the world and explore it with confidence.
My own journey to becoming a mother was a long and challenging one, including IVF, miscarriages, multiple surgeries and a rocky start when my son was born prematurely at 35 weeks. He is now a thriving 17-year-old! That personal experience gives me a deep, intimate understanding of how precious our children are, how complex the parenting path can be, and the emotional rollercoaster that often comes with it.
Because of this, I offer a gentle, nurturing, and reassuring approach so both you and your little one feel fully supported, understood and cared for.
My Experience
As a Postnatal Carer and Nanny, I work with both mum and baby. This can be to assist with caring for both mum and her newborn after the birth, or to take care of a number of aspects of the baby’s care to afford mum the much needed rest she needs to recover.
As a nanny, I ensure that the babies and toddlers in my care get the same compassion and nurturing they get from their parents. Ideally, I prefer to first build a bond with both mum and child as this greatly reduces the trauma of being separated for the first time.
I have experience working with all ages, including newborns. Every role is different but the areas I can help with are:
Baby care, including feeding (breastfeeding or formula), changing diapers, bathing, and settling the baby for sleep.
Mother support, assisting with breastfeeding, guiding new mothers on infant care, and helping them recover from childbirth.
Routine establishment, helping to establish a feeding and sleeping routine.
Nursery duties, keeping the nursery tidy, washing baby clothes, and sterilising feeding equipment.
Sibling integration, helping new siblings adjust to their new sibling.
Parental assistance, providing guidance and support to new parents, answering questions, and offering advice on baby care.
My Qualifications
I have completed:
NEST Postnatal Care Level 3 (previously called non-medical maternity nursing)
Safer Sleeping for Babies

Susan has been amazing, helping to care for my daughter at home since she was five months old both when I'm out and when I'm home but need support while juggling three kids, my work and studies. She even joined me on a residential retreat, which allowed me to participate in sessions without undue separation overnight. Susan is nurturing, kind and very patient, a "baby whisperer" with a knack for soothing my daughter to sleep. She has listened to and followed my preferences regarding all aspects of my daughter's care. She has taken my daughter to soft play centres and baby groups at the local church. My only regret with Susan is that I did not call on her in my earliest postpartum days when my husband was working a night shift and I was struggling to cope overnight! It would have been amazing to have the extra support from the very beginning.
