About Me
Hi. Im Tara, I live with my mum (who I am a stay at home carer for), my son who is 10 months old (who I am a stay at home mum for) and my partner Leon. I have a pretty hectic lifestyle caring for both my baby and my mum. We have 2 greyhounds running round too so the house is pretty full but it is full of love and fun moments each day. By trade I am a nurse and I'm looking to go back to work shortly on a bank basis. My partner works from home. My mum has lived here with us since August 2023, when we renovated our home to remove her from care. I gave up my full time position as a specialist nurse to look after her in June 2023, my partner and I fell pregnant in November 2023 and we had our son in August 2024. Its been a busy couple of years with lots of change. My mums helps me to entertain our little one each day and has a huge role in his life which I love seeing every day.
My Requirements
I am looking for an Ofsted registered nanny to start as soon as possible. I would be looking for my son to be looked after between the hours of 10am and 3pm, 2 days a week to cover when my partner works from home 10:30am - 2:30pm each weekday. He will always be at home but I most likely won't be due to work commitments. When concerning days, ideally a Thursday and Friday but that's not set in stone. I would need a Friday for definite due to a work commitment I already have.
During that time my mum will be at home and ideally I would like somebody who is friendly and chatty so she gets to know them too. It would be lovely if she could have a relationship with the person we hire too in that they get along. I would also require the person to get her a drink if she needs one and prepare a light snack for her (this is as easy as cutting an avocado in half and taking a graze bar out of the fiddly wrapper for her). This would literally be all the help she would need.
Given the right person and relationship with the nanny we hire, my partner and I would also like to go out for a date night here and there which would obviously be preebookable around when the nanny can facilitate. During that time we need them to watch over our son on the owelet camera and respond to him if he cries, resettle him down for sleep and continue to monitor him. I would also need the nanny to keep an eye on my mum. She wouldn't need anything just the reassurance she is not on her own in the house. She can do everything for herself and by that time of day will be relaxing in bed reading a book and then will go off to sleep. During that time the greyhounds may need some company, cuddles and strokes. They are needy dogs but have a huge heart full of love. One of them does bark and is loud especially when people ring the doorbell or new people come in to the house. We would require someone who is confident with dogs. Once that specific greyhound gets to know you though, she does stop.
Thanks for reading my essay and please feel free to contact me if you think you would be a good fit.
