About Me
I’m a busy working mum looking for someone to provide part-time, regular childcare support for my 9 year old daughter, Margot.
We live in Buckden, St. Neots, and I work p/t in Marketing & Communications. This is a new role, designed to provide me with some much-needed respite and support and to provide my daughter with another trusted adult in her life, to be a positive and regular presence.
Margot is a bright, fun, kind, curious and loving girl, with some additional challenges, (undiagnosed neurodiversity, eczema and high levels of anxiety). She likes to have fun and enjoys arts and craft, her i-pad, playing games, Lego, going to the park, music and dance, and swimming.
My Requirements
I’m ideally looking for someone with formal training/qualifications in childcare, with solid experience in working with children with severe anxiety. You will be DBS checked and First Aid trained.
The ideal person will be reliable, trustworthy, flexible, responsible, kind, calm, patient, empathetic and gentle. You’ll also need to not mind a bit of a messy house!!
I'd like to start with 3pm - 6pm on Fridays, (incl. school pick up); 5.30pm - 7.30pm on Tuesdays; plus one evening per month. Once my daughter is comfortable with you, (and vice-versa), I'd like the commitment to increase to one Saturday (daytime) every 6 – 8 weeks, plus one overnight stay every 6 months.
If you’re looking for more hours and would be happy to help with some light housework, (general tidying, ironing and a small amount of cooking), please let me know and I’d be happy to incorporate this into your role.
