About Me

I am a ofsted registered childminder with an assistant based in Newborough, Peterborough, providing high-quality home-based childcare for children from birth to five years. offering a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment where children feel valued and supported to reach their full potential.
I plan a wide range of play and learning experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), promoting children’s development across all areas of learning. I work in partnership with parents and carers to ensure continuity of care and to meet each child’s individual needs and interests.
Children benefit from a home-from-home setting, regular outdoor opportunities, Outing, and activities that encourage confidence, independence and school readiness. I have a large outdoor area where the children love to play. We’ve had large extension built on the side of the house including a play room for the children and an open planned kitchen which they also like to play in.
In 2020 I had my first ofstead inspection with 2 inspectors thats came to visit, the inspection went really well and i was graded a good. There was a comment for improvement regarding children self care and independence skills. This was relating to me wiping a young child’s nose with a tissue, instead, encouraging the child to do this himself would have been preferable. The children in my care are taught from a young age that self care and independence skills are one of the most important skills children can have.
