Hi! I’m Kathryn, a 20-year-old babysitter and second-year university student, currently studying English and Film at the University of St Andrews in Scotland. I’m from Salem, Massachusetts, in the US, and live in St Andrews during term time. In my free time, I love spending time outdoors, filmmaking, and cooking.
I’ve spent the past three years as a Summer Camp Counsellor at Brookwood School, leading creative, athletic, and educational activities for kids aged 2 to 13. At Brookwood, I engage children in fun, age-appropriate activities while ensuring their safety and well-being.
In addition to my camp experience, I volunteer with Families First as a Befriender, working with children with Adverse Childhood Experiences and ASD, where I help support their emotional well-being and encourage social connection.
I'm a creative person (I'm an actor, writer, and filmmaker), and I genuinely love working with kids. Whether we’re making crafts, playing outdoors, reading, or doing homework, my goal is always to create a positive and nurturing environment.

My Experience
Over the past three summers, I've worked as a summer Camp Counselor at Brookwood School in Manchester, MA, working with children ages two to thirteen in groups ranging from three to fifteen campers. At camp, I teach various activities such as Cooking, Acting, Basketball, and Fairy House Building. From that job, I have experience working with children in large and small group settings where I run activities and games. I also have experience babysitting kids one-on-one. Currently, I volunteer at Families First in St Andrews every other week working with kids under ten.
