About Me
My name is Kirsty and I live in Spondon with my husband, two children aged 5 and 9, 3 cats and 4 chickens.
I am an Ofsted registered childminder and provide childcare from my own home. I work closely with parents and carers to provide the best possible start for your little ones. Having 2 children of my own, we have a very homely and nurturing environment. I have experience in both a school and nursery environment.
I love the outdoors, craft, messy play, cooking and reading. I am a strong believer in child-led learning and that using a child's interests helps them to flourish in all areas of their learning. I aim to encourage children to love learning through being curious, being active and exploring new things.
I will keep parents informed of their child's development and will support parents with transitions to both nursery (if they choose to move on) and starting school. I provide lunch and snacks as I believe sharing mealtimes is a wonderful way to connect and discover new tastes.
We have a lot of fun at our house with a mud kitchen in the garden, chickens to care for and a greenhouse for planting fruit and veg. I have a range of resources to promote learning and development already but will follow your child's interests when it comes to daily activities and play opportunities. My opening hours are 7:30-5:30 Tuesday to Friday. I charge £7 per hour. I also provide funded places. I offer term time only contracts.

I have availability on a Wednesday and Friday from September 2026 onwards.

- Childminding from £7.00 per hour
I charge £7/hour and also offer funded spaces.

Kirsty and Chris take care of our son, and he is always happy going there, and coming home with new words and skills.
Lots of books and and variety of fun educational activities at their home and in the garden. They also have important trips out to the parks, to play on the swings and see the local wildlife. He loves the cats, and it is a happy environment that he settled into straight away.
Kept up to date with nappies, food etc via app and sent photos throughout the day so you can see what they have been up to.

Kirsty and Chris are a great team. They provide a safe, comfortable home from home for the children they look after. My daughter loves going! There is always plenty for the children to do, from arts and crafts, to out side play, storytime and mini adventures to parks and other outings. My daughter is always learning something new and Kirsty and Chris both provide the care and encouragement the children need. I'm always getting updates and photos of what they have been up to. They also keep track of sleep, nappies and food eaten etc. So you have no worries about the important things in your child's day. It's all recorded for you to see. Every child is given the utmost care and attention. They don't miss out on anything.
I felt that my daughter was behind with speech, and so Kirsty has looked into any extra help and resources available for her to use whilst my daughter is there, and also at home. Help is being put in place for us and Kirsty is actively working with my daughter to practice, teach and develop her language skills. I couldn't be happier.
