About Me
My name is Lily, I’m 27 and from Newport Pagnell, I am a mother to 2 beautiful boys and absolutely adore it. I am currently in the process of opening Ducky Day care and am extremely excited about it!
I enjoy spending lots of time outside and love to craft, the messier the better! I have worked in childcare for over 10 years. During this time I have gained experience in both nursery and school settings, as well as becoming a mother myself five years ago.
Supporting children and giving them the best possible start in life has always been something I feel very passionate about.
I have a strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and understand how to implement it effectively within my setting. I will do this by providing age-appropriate activities and resources, following the children’s interests, and encouraging them to explore the world around them. Outdoor play is extremely valuable for children’s development and supports many areas of the EYFS. So rain or shine we will be spending time outside! I have set up an area of my garden with a mud kitchen, a sand pit and water play. Inside my setting will always have appropriate age range of toys, a set up sensory tray for the day aswell as a reading corner and a messy play station.
My Experience
When I was 17 I did an apprentice in a nursery. I gained my level 2&3 early year educator qaulifactions. Since then I have always worked in nursery or school environments. With children aged 0-5 years. I have worked with children for 10 years now and love it!
My Qualifications
Level 2 and 3 qualified in early years education. With additional certificates that included first aid training, DSL safeguarding training, fgm, prevent, childhood mental health and more!
My Fees
- Childminding from £7.00 per hour
I will be offering childcare for children aged 0–3 years from 8:00am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, during term time only. I will also be happy to offer occasional childcare during the school holidays if needed. My hourly rate is £7. I accept all government funding for children aged 9 months to 3 years. Children are entitled to up to 30 funded hours per week, and any additional hours will be charged at £7 per hour.
