About Me
Hello! My name is Ruqiya, and I am an Ofsted-registered childminder with a degree in Speech and Language Therapy. I am passionate about providing a warm, nurturing, and supportive environment where children feel safe, valued, and confident to explore, learn, and develop at their own pace.
With extensive experience working with children across a variety of settings, I have developed a deep understanding of child development and the importance of creating meaningful learning opportunities that support every child’s individual needs. My setting offers both stimulating indoor and outdoor learning environments, allowing children to benefit from a rich variety of experiences throughout the day.
I have a strong and thorough understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and use this knowledge to tailor my provision to each child’s interests, abilities, and stage of development. By observing children closely and responding to their individual needs, I create learning experiences that support progress across all areas of the EYFS.
Building positive relationships with children and their families is at the heart of my practice. I work closely with parents and carers to ensure consistency, share developmental progress, and create a partnership that supports each child’s wellbeing and growth
My Experience
I have extensive experience working with children in the early years, including those with special educational needs (SEN). Over the years, I have gained valuable experience working in primary schools and daycare settings, where I’ve developed a strong understanding of child development and how to cater to each child’s individual needs.
My Qualifications
-Bsc (Hons) speech and language therapy
-Home based childcare award (HBCA)
- Paediatric first aid
- Early Years safeguarding training

I offer flexible childcare availability, including weekends and school holidays, to suit your needs. Whether you need full-time care or just occasional support, I’m here to provide reliable and consistent care at times that work best for you and your family.
My Fees
- Childminding from £8.00 per hour
- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour

My daughter loved going there and was always happy. Ruqiya has lovely personality and has provided best care to my daughter who had speech delays and attachment issues.
