About Me

I’m a single mother to an 8 year old boy who has autism

My Requirements

Part Time Nanny
Mothers Help

Hello. I’m looking for a reliable, calm, and understanding person to help support me and my 8-year-old son in our home. My son is autistic and can struggle with emotional regulation, so patience and a gentle approach are absolutely essential. This is a long-term role, as consistency is very important for him and frequent changes in caregivers will be very distressing for him, so if your looking to work short term then you won’t be right for us. Experience with autism is not essential.

The role is for 8 hours a week, paid at £80 per week. Your support would include general household tasks such as cleaning, polishing, household chores, and occasionally cooking. I would really appreciate someone familiar with Pakistani cuisine, as this is what we enjoy at home. This preference is purely based on the type of food we eat and is not related to race or background; anyone comfortable cooking Pakistani dishes is welcome to apply.

You will also help me with my son, not as a babysitter, but as someone who becomes part of our small family. It’s just me and my son at home, and I’m looking for a female helper for personal-comfort reasons within our household.

You won’t be expected to take my son out alone. Instead, you would support me when we go out together — for example to Asda or local shopping centres, where he can sometimes run off or become overwhelmed. Your presence would help keep him safe and make outings less stressful for both of us.
It’s vital you have a protective behaviour. Anyone with a blasé attitude who’s always on their phone will not be considered.

If you are looking for a long-term position where you can make a real difference to our daily life, I would love to hear from you. Thank you.
Jay
