About Me
If you and your little one are looking for a small, family setting with lots of outdoor learning and play I would love to meet you. I offer safe and engaging indoor and outdoor spaces, with fun and exciting themed sessions to support your little one's development. I love working with early years and the great outdoors and take pride in combining these passions as a childminder, both at home and on daily local outings. I am a qualified teacher, following the EYFS to excite and enthuse your little one across all areas.
I live with my husband, 3 young children and our sprocher spaniel, Rolo in a 4 bed detached house on the Shavington Park estate. As a family we embrace outdoor and adventurous sustainable living and I enjoy sharing these passions as a childminder. From travelling on foot or by bicycle, exploring local woodlands, wetlands and farmland, to recycling and forest school craft - there's so much fun to be had.
My Experience
I have over 20 years experience working with a variety of ages, across a diverse range of settings including multiple outdoor environments. Whilst developing my core professional skills I worked in outdoor centres across the country and abroad in upstate New York and New Zealand's North Island. My career development has now led me to focus on Early Years development, where my knowledge of teaching and learning pedagogy, wealth of outdoor instructional experiences and lessons learnt as a mum of 3 (those that know, know), underpin my core childminding skills.
My Qualifications
I have a broad range of qualifications from outdoor specific such as bushcraft for forest school activities, to early years child development for individualising learning. I also hold first aid and safeguarding qualifications, including DBS, as well as being a qualified teacher with additional level 7 qualifications in education and mentoring.
My Availability
I can be flexible with availability and therefore happy to discuss your requirements. During the school week drop off times are before 8am or from 9am (to facilitate the school run).

I have my little boy who is 2 in November in care with Jess since June 2025 after couple attempts with another childminder and a nursery, Jess came across my profile and i was blessed she came into our life - she's our Angel 💞
My son developed a lot since, has settled quick and well, i'm offered updates and pictures throughout the day, and Jess is offering plenty of activities outside and indoor. The premises are clean and safe.
I highly recommend !
