My Summary
About Me
Hi, I'm Lumina and I run Bright Beginnings with Lumina, a home based childminding service in Leighton Buzzard. I am supported in my setting by my mum who is my assistant, providing extra care and supervision for the children.
I provide a safe, caring and stimulating environment where children can learn play and grow. My setting is designed to feel like a home-from-home, with cosy spaces for rest, exciting resources for play and plenty of opportunities to explore outdoors.
I follow the EYFS framework to support children's learning, while tailoring activities to their individual needs and interests. I aim to make every day engaging, fun and meaningful.
My goal is to give children the very best start in life, helping them develop confidence, curiosity and a love of learning. In my setting every child if valued, supported and celebrated.
My Experience
I'm a mother of three children (aged 8,6 and 9 months) and have lots of hands-on experiences caring for young children. I understand how important it is for families to feel confident that their little ones are safe, happy and supported.
I hold Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding training and have completed many Early Year's CPD courses.
Before childminding, I worked in customer service and property management, where I developed strong organisation and communication skills. I now use these skills to create a safe, welcoming and fun environment where children can explore, learn and grow and to foster strong partnerships with families.
