My Experience
I have 19 years experience working with children newborn to 10 years in nursery sectors, nannying, night nannying and babysitting.
I provide age appropriate activities that are stimulating for the children, and supporting their development.
I am also a maternity nurse, my role would be supporting you and your newborn, getting into a routine, doing the feeds, if you do decide on breastfeeding you can either express or we can arrange for me to take baby to you.
My duties and responsibilities are:
Nursery duties
Sterilising breast pumps/bottles
Caring for you and your newborn.
I follow the lead of the mother or gently get into the routine what ever fits around you.
With the nights and 24 hour roles the maternity nurse does sleep in the same room as the baby to change nappies, feed them and settle them back to sleep can guide on swaddling and the benefits of it.
Also I would be supporting you as a new mother. Making sure you are getting the right nutrition, help by batch cooking, helping around the house if needed
