About Me

I am an Ofsted registered childminder (rated outstanding) and a qualified primary school teacher with over 30 years childcare experience. I offer reliable, high quality and flexible care to meet the diverse needs of children and their families. I offer before and after school provision, holiday care and full days for younger children. My husband (also a primary school teacher) is registered as my assistant, we work closely together to meet the needs of the children in our care.
We have recently reviewed our setting and day to day practice to ensure that we are working safely with Covid-19 regulations being adhered to. We are based in Newton Hill, close to Pinderfields Hospital.

My Experience

We have over 50 years experience of working with primary age children between us. I have been a childminder for 15 years and was a teacher for 20 years, I was senior practitioner in early years, designated teacher for child protection and maths coordinator for several years. My husband was a teacher for 22 years, upper KS2 leader with responsibility for literacy across the school and IT coordinator,

My Qualifications

I have a Bachelor of Education degree (with honours). I hold a paediatric first aid certificate and certificate in food safety in catering. I have been awarded a bronze kite mark from 'Kids'. I have a level 3 qualification in Safeguarding.
My husband has a BA Degree and PGCE, safeguarding level 3 and paediatric first aid.

My Availability

We are currently full, but have spaces coming up in September 2026.
We drop off and pick up children from Newton Hill Community Primary School.
