My Experience

I am a qualified primary teacher with 6 years' experience teaching children aged 7-11. I am a positive, patient tutor who is passionate about encouraging children to feel confident and excited about their learning!

I am confident teaching all areas of the national curriculum at KS2 level, and have lots of experience preparing UKS2 children for the Year 6 SATS. I can provide targeted support in specific areas, including:
Literacy skills: spelling, grammar, punctuation, handwriting, reading comprehension and creative writing.
Maths skills: arithmetic, place value, fractions, decimals, percentages, shape/geometry, measurement and statistics.
I am also happy to support children with their learning in art, science, history, geography. I speak fluent German and can provide language tuition in German.

I have experience working with children with EAL (English as an Additional Language) and SEND, including dyslexia, ASD and ADHD. I will take time to get to know your child and strive to incorporate their interests into our sessions to make learning experience engaging and meaningful. I will work at their pace and encourage a growth mindset.

My Qualifications

I have a a PGCE in Primary Education (5-11) with Qualified Teacher Status. I have over 6 year's teaching experience, primarily in KS2 (7-11). I am currently working on an additional qualification in Children and Young People's Mental Health.

My Availability

I currently have availability for tutoring after-school and evenings Monday-Wednesday and daytime on Sundays. Sessions can be online or in-person (at your home or a public space, such as a local library). Sessions can range from 30 mins to 1.5hrs.

My Fees

• Tutoring from £30.00 per hour

I offer the first session (max. 30 mins) for free as an opportunity to meet you and get to know your child's needs. Subsequent sessions are charged at the rate of £30 / hr.
