Serena
Nanny in Bromley (also available for babysitting)
My Summary
About Me
I am a warm, caring and energetic person who genuinely enjoys spending time with children and being part of their everyday lives. I am naturally nurturing, patient and organised, and I love creating a happy environment where children feel safe, secure and able to be themselves.
Outside of work, I am a mum to a young daughter, so I understand childcare from both a professional and a parent's perspective. Family is very important to me, and I appreciate how much trust is involved in welcoming a nanny into your home and your children's lives.
I am an active person and enjoy being outdoors, going for walks, running, keeping fit and exploring new places. With children, I am equally happy getting out to parks, playgroups and activities as I am spending time at home baking, getting creative, reading stories or simply playing together.
I am originally from New Zealand and have lived in London for many years. I am friendly, down-to-earth and dependable, and I build strong relationships with both children and parents. I am now hoping to find a lovely family where I can become a trusted and consistent part of family life while helping their children grow, learn and, most importantly, enjoy their childhood.
My Experience
I am a qualified and experienced childcare professional with a strong background in both early childhood education and nannying. I completed my Nanny qualification at Ashton Warner Nanny Academy in New Zealand, followed by a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree, specialising in Early Childhood Education, at a New Zealand university.
My career began in Auckland, where I worked as an Early Childhood Teacher. I then relocated to London to work as a live-in nanny, before transitioning to a part-time, live-out nanny role. Alongside this, I worked three days a week as a supply teacher in various schools across London.
My teaching experience expanded further when I was offered a long-term role as a Reception/Nursery teacher in a state school in the borough of Westminster. I remained in this position for three years, gaining valuable experience in the UK education system and deepening my understanding of child development and early learning.
Currently, I am employed at a prestigious Pre-Prep School in North West London. I am presently on maternity leave but eager to return to work in a nurturing, child-focused role where I can use my experience and passion for early childhood education to support families and young children.
