My Requirements

We’re looking for help with morning school/nursery drop-offs 2–3 days a week and afternoon pick-ups 3–4 days a week, ideally Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The hours are roughly 8am–9.15am in the mornings and 3.15pm–6.15pm in the afternoons, with some flexibility for the right person.

Our eldest attends SJSC School and our youngest is at The Villa nursery, so the role involves getting them to and from school/nursery, bringing them home, giving them a simple dinner and keeping them happy and entertained until we’re finished with work. We’d love someone who enjoys getting out to the park, playing, reading, doing crafts and generally having fun with the boys. We would also love someone who could do longer hours during the school holidays (just with our eldest as our youngest’s nursery is year-round).

A car would be ideal as the schools/nursery are a little spread out, although we have a cargo bike and would be very happy for someone to use that if they’re confident cycling with children.

We’re looking for someone kind, energetic, organised and dependable, who genuinely enjoys spending time with children. Most importantly, we’re hoping to find someone for a long-term arrangement who can become a familiar and valued part of our family. Our youngest starts school next year, so we’d love the role to grow and continue beyond that point, with the hours naturally evolving as both boys are at school.

We’re a friendly family and would love to find someone who will feel like part of the family rather than simply someone coming in to do a job. There may also be the opportunity for occasional additional babysitting if mutually convenient.
