About Me

I am Heather, I am in my late 20s. I work full time during the day but tutor most evenings and at weekends. I work in Bristol during the day, so able to tutor in the Bristol, the Taunton area and online.
I provide private maths lessons to children ages 8 to 18 years old. I have a very positive attitude in all my lessons and they are tailored to meet the individual needs of my students. I want to not only help my students achieve their goals but I want them to see the relevance in what they are doing.

My Experience

I have been a professional tutor for over 5 years. I began tutoring during my A levels where I worked with KS3 and GCSE students. Throughout this time I have proved myself as a successful professional mathematics tutor. Private tutoring is very rewarding, from seeing my KS2 students learn new and useful skills to my GCSE students using all they've learnt, honing their skills and reaching their full potential. I love seeing my students thrive in their studies and also see their confidence build.
My lessons are designed to challenge my students, but also keep them focussed and engaged. I build a rapport with my students, so they feel comfortable. I love when they excitedly come to my lessons and inform me of their success.
I keep parents up to date with their child's progress and giving honest feedback is very important.
I specialise in Mathematics tutoring with experience in KS2, Year 6 SATs, KS3 and GCSE exams.

My Qualifications

I studied Mathematics at university and have been tutoring for over 5 years. I have a Bsc in Mathematics.
I also teach English as a foreign language. I hold a TEFL.
