About Me
A little bit about us:
I’m a working mum with an online job and another project that I manage remotely, so my schedule is quite flexible.
My son is currently 2 years and 10 months old (turning 3 in October). He’s a very active, energetic little boy who loves being outdoors, running, climbing, and all kinds of active games. At the same time, he enjoys books, puzzles, and, like most boys his age, anything to do with cars.
He can sometimes be quite intense, so I think he’d really benefit from spending time with a calm, confident childminder who can provide clear routines, boundaries, and a structured environment while still being warm and caring.
As for me, I’m quite open-minded and enjoy experiencing different cultures. Over the past few years we’ve lived in several countries, including the UK, Russia, Sri Lanka, and Morocco, and we’re currently staying in London. Our lifestyle is quite flexible, so I don’t always know where we’ll be living next. At the moment, I’m taking my time to decide where we’d like to settle longer-term before Adam starts nursery or school.
For now, my priority is simply to find a wonderful childminder where he can make friends, learn through play, and enjoy being part of a small group of children his own age.
My Requirements
I’m looking for a childminder for my son, who is currently 2 years and 10 months old and will turn 3 in October. We’re hoping to find someone as soon as possible, ideally this month.
A nursery isn’t the right option for us at the moment because we’ll likely be leaving the UK for a couple of months soon. Instead, I’m looking for a childminder who looks after other children of a similar age (around 2–4 years old). Even if it’s just one or two other children, it’s important that he has the opportunity to play, interact, and learn alongside peers rather than being with babies.
We live near Paddington, and I’m flexible with hours since I work online. My main goal isn’t childcare for my own availability—it’s for my son to spend time with other children in a structured, caring environment.
As he hasn’t attended nursery yet, I’d love for him to develop more confidence with things like sharing, taking turns, following routines, and interacting with other children. I also think children often respond really well to expectations and routines in a group setti
