Nanny in Stroud (also available for babysitting)
My Summary
Nanny And Doula Available To Help
About Me
I currently work as a private family housekeeper and cook, a role I’ve grown into over the past five years as the family’s children became more independent. Alongside this, I am now looking for ad hoc babysitting and nannying opportunities across Gloucestershire.
I am a qualified and insured doula with over 12 years of experience working as a nanny in private households, caring for children from newborn through to teenage years. I’ve had the privilege of building long-term relationships with families, including one I’ve worked with for over a decade, where the children have now grown up.
As a mother of three myself, I bring both professional experience and personal understanding to my work. Having been on both sides of childcare, I truly appreciate what matters most to parents, as well as what helps children feel secure, supported, and happy.
I have a naturally creative and nurturing approach to childcare, and I love incorporating imaginative play, crafts, storytelling, and seasonal activities into the day. I am very outdoors-focused and believe in the importance of fresh air, nature, and freedom of movement for children’s wellbeing. I am particularly inspired by a Waldorf Steiner approach, valuing rhythm, simplicity, creativity, and connection.
I also have a love for animals and countryside life, and I’m very comfortable around horses and outdoor environments, often bringing this into my work with children where appropriate.
I am warm, approachable, and reliable, and I place great importance on creating a calm, safe, and nurturing environment. I am proactive in my approach, ensuring the home is left tidy after the day, and I am confident with meal preparation, routines, and all aspects of daily childcare.
I hold a clear DBS check and a full, clean UK driving licence.
I am available for ad hoc weekday and weekend babysitting or nannying work. Please feel free to get in touch if you feel I may be a good fit for your family.

Amie has been a godsend for us. Since moving to the area, we've struggled to find a babysitter who has given us the confidence to leave our son Cas for long periods of time. From our first meeting, Amie was so prepared, patient, enthusiastic, and playful that we felt instantly at ease. Cas took to her immediately, which is extremely rare because he's very attached to us/wary of others.
Amie just gets it: she's obviously intuitive and naturally caring and brilliant at what she does. She's gone above and beyond for us on several occasions and I can't praise her highly enough. My only hesitation in recommending her is my concern that she might have less time available for us!
