My Requirements

We would like an experienced nanny/housekeeper to help with all aspects of baby care and development and support equally for our 13 month son and 22 month daughter.

About the family and children

The little girl is happy, healthy, smiling and an absolute delight. She is quiet and enjoys reading books and toys that challenge her concentration and manual dexterity.

Both parents are busy working professionals. Dad often works abroad, and mum is a researcher working from home. Mum is a hands on parent and the nanny will need to be able to work as part of a team with mum and the housekeeper as well. The nanny needs to be flexible in their role , comfortable equally in baby care, toddler activities and maintains a tidy home , cooking, laundry and cleaning.

The parents are both very supportive and kind employers and have excellent feedback from previous staff. The family would love their child to learn additional languages, their housekeepers speak Spanish and there is a weekly French lesson organised.



Expectations and duties

Working hours:
Monday to Friday part time
Saturday Sunday flexible hours

These hours could be as part of a job share with another nanny if preferred or other arrangement depending upon candidates preferences and needs.

The family are seeking a nanny / housekeeper to support and help them provide a safe and loving environment for their baby and provide care and attention for their older child who is beginning to require more creative and varied play.

The nanny is to be highly experienced with toddlers and stimulating engaging play, have knowledge of developmental milestones and be creative and fun. A good knowledge of paediatric first aid and safe sleep guidelines are a must. A diploma in early years child development is desirable.

The nanny would be helping both with the little girl and baby alongside mum. The nanny will need to have good experience in establishing routines for the baby including good sleep habits from a young age.

The nanny would be expected to keep their charges' bedrooms, milk kitchen and kitchen clean and tidy at all times and do all the baby laundry. The nanny would need to be a good cook and have a varied repertoire of recipes to cook healthy lunch, snacks and dinner for the little girl.

There may be some holiday travel to destinations in Europe and Worldwide and experience of travel with a toddler would be desirable. The family employ a full-time cleaner and have a pet dog, a hypoallergenic Maltipoo.

The nanny will need to be up to date with paediatric first aid and CRB checked. Most recent references will be checked. The nanny will need to provide their own car for driving to nursery and have a clean driving license.

Location

The family home is set across 4 floors in a recently renovated townhouse in the centre of Oxford. It is a 7 minute walk to a large park and short walk to the centre of Oxford with its' amenities.
