Hiya my name is Beth and I am 27 years old.
I am a reliable and passionate child care provider and enjoy caring for children. I have always had a strong compassion for helping others. Whether it be through work or in my personal life. I am a very caring and nurturing person. I like to create fun and lasting memories for the children whilst also helping them to grown and learn in a safe environment. I always try my best to have a positive impact and committed to my work. I love to get creative, craft making, activity planning and days out. Due to work experiences I am a punctual person and am good with time management. Outside of work I like to keep myself busy and active. I love spending time with my family and friends making memories. I love music and going to concerts, going out for long walks discovering new places to visit, holidays. I also enjoy cooking and baking. I have massive love for disney! I love to plan events for my family and friends.
My Experience
I have many years experience caring for others which I have always been passionate about and always wanted to help and care for others.
I worked for 3 years in a childminding setting. Starting as a childminding assistant to then becoming OFTSED registered. I cared for children from 0-8 years. My job entailed looking after the children and meeting their needs through out the day. This included nappy changing, potty training, assisting with feeding, bottle feeding, preparing food and sleep routines. I would also plan fun activities and crafts for the children which was age appropriate for them and helped to meet their learning development needs. This could be adult led play, child led play, creating crafts, sensory play, role play, reading time, singing songs and also planning days out.
I also have worked previously in a children's residential home. Working with children from the age of 6-16 years old. Due to the nature of the job I have very good safeguarding knowledge and report writing. Also working in heightened situations which needs a calm manor to deescalate and having a lot of empathy and understanding.
I have 10 years experience working with young adults with special needs including autism, ADHD and cerebral palsy. Role and responsibilities such as personal care, moving and handling, PEG fed, administrating medication and seizures.
As well as these work experiences i also have a lot of personal experience with children. I have younger siblings, nieces and nephews. I have always been hands on and happy to help care for them from being born.
My Qualifications
I an oftsed registered, first aid trained and safeguarding.
I have a level 3 extended diploma in health and social care.
I have a grad B in both english literature and english language GCSE.
Grade C in maths GCSE.
My Availability
I am currently available and flexible with hours Monday to Friday, I can also be available on weekends however can't commit to every weekend out of the month.
