'S', aged 13, is one of 3 children. S is registered blind and requires practical support and guidance in day-to-day life; she needs a Specialist Nanny / PA to enable and promote her independence. She is a bright, determined young lady who enjoys school and learning, and is doing very well academically. S is a very active girl who loves
gymnastics, swimming and all things arts and crafts. S can experience high levels of
anxiety, especially if she is struggling to complete a task.
My Requirements
The main aspect of this role is supporting S to access the world around her and participate in all activities. The Specialist Nanny / PA will be a confident using technology and enthusiastic to learn how to use her specialist braille equipment.
We are looking for someone fun, engaging and energetic to engage S in play, bike riding, playing in the garden, swimming and planning activities together.
S does not let her Visual Impairment hold her back and needs a Specialist Nanny / PA with the same outlook; someone who sets the bar high in terms of expectations. The typical Nanny duties such as school runs, preparing meals for the children and light household
duties are all included.
Who this job would suit: A positive, engaging, organised and active Nanny / PA with VI and Braille experience. This role is all encompassing and requires a dedicated, energetic and proactive person who enjoys working in a busy environment, and is confident in a sole charge position. You must be a driver, with your own car. Mileage paid.
Monday to Friday 7am-9am and 2.30pm-8pm
Every other weekend for 5 hours.
£39,600 per annum gross
£17.00 weekdays
£18.00 weekends
