Working Parents Need Regular Help With 2 Children
About Me
I am seeking a reliable and flexible nanny to support me with childcare while I am undertaking my placement as a Student Midwife. Due to the nature of my role, my working hours can vary significantly, including early mornings and late evenings.
I am looking for someone who can offer flexibility, as childcare will not be required on a consistent daily basis and will depend on my placement schedule. However, I would strongly prefer to work with the same nanny to provide continuity and stability for my children.
The role would primarily involve assisting with morning school drop-offs to breakfast club and collecting the children from their after-school club, before caring for them at our home until I return. On certain placements, particularly on the Labour or Postnatal ward, my shifts may begin as early as 7:30am. On these days, I would require the nanny to arrive at our home by 7:00am. Breakfast club is available from 7:30am, with flexibility around drop-off times.
In the evenings, the children may remain at after-school club until 6:00pm, again with some flexibility on collection times. When I am working later shifts, I typically finish at 8:00pm and return home at approximately 8:30pm. During this time, I would need the nanny to supervise the children and assist with their evening routine, including preparing simple meals or reheating food that I have prepared in advance.
We are based in Portsmouth; however, my children attend school in Horndean, so the ability to manage this commute is essential.
Additionally, I require the nanny to be Ofsted registered, as I will be paying via CCGPay with the option to top up payments directly via bank transfer. I appreciate that the requirements of this role are somewhat complex, and I am willing to offer a higher rate of pay to reflect the flexibility and commitment needed.
Please do get in touch if you feel this role would be a good fit.
My Requirements
We receive placement schedules in advance, so notice will always be given. Although the weekly pattern may vary slightly, we can provide structure and planning ahead of time.
The main support we require is help with school drop-offs and pick-ups, and assistance with after-school routines during those placement weeks.
We are looking for someone flexible, reliable and long-term focused. Ideally, we would love to find the right nanny who can become a consistent part of our family until the children are older.
We understand this role requires good communication and flexibility, and we are very open to discussing expectations to make sure it works well for both sides.
Please feel free to ask any questions, we are happy to provide clarity.
