My Requirements

Seeking one or more people to assist with childcare - before and after school support, also weekends and school holidays. This will include personal care, mealtimes, laundry and other tasks associated with looking after the children. These will be employed positions.

I commute into London and sometimes work away. My wife Natalie does not currently work but needs assistance with childcare. Our eldest son stays at boarding school during the week but we need help with the 5 other children, primarily before and after school until bedtime.

9 year old twins boy/girl with various special needs who attend specialist schools, via a transport service.
6 year old girl attending the local infant school.
3 year old twin boys one of whom as significant special needs. Both attend nurseries and will start reception in September.

Core hours would be 7am-9:30am and 3:30pm-7pm, Mon-Fri, term time. We will also be looking for assistance during school holidays and at weekends to help with days out and activities. We are exploring our new area with walks, theme parks, zoos and days out in London.

A friendly, patient and enthusiastic approach is essential. Some of our children have autism, so an understanding of associated needs is required, and willingness to follow agreed strategies. We do need to deal calmly with some challenging behaviour. However, our house is normally lively and fun and the children enjoy a variety of activities.

Flexibility and reliability is also required to allow us to manage a complicated school run routine, activities and meet all the children's needs.

Whilst driving would be an advantage, we are located only a few minutes walk from Weybridge railway station.
