My Summary
About Me
I’ve recently expanded the services I offer, alongside nannying I’m now working as a freelance Household PA, providing flexible, ad-hoc household and lifestyle support around Oxfordshire.
I can help with things like cooking & meal prep, grocery shopping, errands, laundry & bed making, household organisation, collections & returns, pet appointments, waiting in for deliveries and lots of those little jobs that can take up valuable time.
Confident with Vegan & vegetarian meals.
I have over 3 years’ experience working within private households.
Full enhanced DBS, clean driving licence and my own vehicle.
My Experience
I’ve worked as a 1:1 behaviour support nursing assistant at the John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford. This was for both adults and children, in regards to children it would involve supporting young people during there stay in hospital who may have difficulties with their mental health, eating disorders, self harm or this could simply involve being 1:1 with a child who’s parents aren’t able to be with them during there hospital stay, this could be day time or during the night . The ages of these children would range from newborn babies to teenagers.
I’m level 3 qualified in BSL and I’ve previously taught British sign language to children. These were at groups such as police cadets, girl guides, SEN children and parents groups and workshops that I held in the community for children and adults. These were with children between the ages of 3 - 11
I’ve also worked as a Teaching assistant in a secondary school in Oxford mainly in the SEN department but also helping in mainstream too at times.
This would involve supporting with learning material in the classroom but also doing 1:1 or small group work outside the classroom on topics such as self esteem, bullying, emotions, confidence and behaviour. These were with children between the ages of 11 - 16 years old
My last role was with looked after children in a residential setting. This was with 7 teenage boys who unfortunately aren’t able to live with their parents/families for varies reasons.
This would involve caring for them like you would your own children, cooking, cleaning, teaching them about personal hygiene, taking them to medical appointments, taking and picking up from School, taking them to after school activities, supporting them with supervised contact with families, watching movies, playing consoles, doing art, football in the garden or even helping them take care of their pets (Guinea pigs and hamsters) and of course showing them the love and care you would your own children.
The ages of these children were 13 - 16 year olds
Example of one of my nanny roles - Two children aged 4 years old and 5 years old.
This involved full daily care for both children.
Full housekeeping duties including bed changes, washing, ironing, choosing outfits and packing suitcases for family vacations
I would also run errands including grocery shopping, collecting items from the dry cleaners or going to the post office to send parcels.
I would source ingredients, choose the menu and prepare fresh healthy balanced organic meals for the week.
Organise and dress the children each morning for school ensure all required school equipment is ready.
Maintain the children's schedules and transport them to and from school and extracurricular activities.
Bath and prepare for bed, I would read to the children to support literacy development and build attention.
