My Summary
About Me
Pre registration
Hello, my name is Amy, and I am a caring and dedicated home-from-home childminder with a genuine passion for supporting children’s growth and development in a safe, nurturing environment.
As a parent myself, I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust to care for your child. This personal experience allows me to provide a warm, loving, and understanding setting where children feel secure, valued, and happy.
I hold a Level 3 childcare qualification and have completed both paediatric first aid and safeguarding training. This ensures I can provide a safe environment while promoting children’s wellbeing and development at all times.
My approach is centred around learning through play, offering a balance of fun, engaging activities and opportunities for children to explore and develop at their own pace. I aim to build confidence, independence, and strong social skills in every child I care for.
I pride myself on creating a home-from-home environment, working closely with parents to build positive relationships and maintain open communication. My goal is to provide high-quality care that supports each child’s individual needs, helping them to grow into confident and happy individuals.
My Experience
I have a range of hands-on experience caring for children through both my professional background and my role as a parent. As a parent myself, I have a strong understanding of children’s needs, routines, and development, which allows me to provide patient, nurturing, and attentive care.
In addition to this, I have experience working in a nursery setting, where I supported children of different ages in their daily routines, learning, and development. This role helped me build strong skills in planning activities, managing behaviour positively, and creating a safe and engaging environment for children to learn through play.
I hold a Level 3 childcare qualification, which has given me a solid understanding of child development and the importance of supporting each child as an individual. I have also completed paediatric first aid and safeguarding training, ensuring I can provide a safe, secure, and supportive environment at all times.
My experience includes supporting children’s emotional wellbeing, encouraging confidence and independence, and helping them develop key social and communication skills. I am passionate about creating a home-from-home environment where children feel happy, secure, and able to thrive.
I work closely with parents to ensure consistency and to meet each child’s individual needs, building strong, trusting relationships with both children and their families.
