About Me
Hi there, my name is Lindsey, the founder of Lindsey’s Poppets Childcare. I am a registered childminder with over 12 years experience working in the Early Years sector as a qualified practitioner and Senco.
Based in East Ardsley, I share my lovely home with my husband Mark and young daughter Heidi. As a family, we love to explore the world, plan fabulous family days out and just being in each others company.
What I offer?
My services are for children aged from 3 months to 10 years of age. My priority is to provide a safe, home from home environment where children develop a real sense of belonging. My curriculum is centred solely around the children’s interests and their transition to school.
In preparation for school, I aim to support children by providing a range of exciting learning opportunities and experiences centred around their interests. Child led and with minimal direction is something I strongly believe to be the most effective approach.
My Experience
12 years working in private day nurseries, with a variety of roles ranging from room leader to area Senco. I have supported parents throughout EHCP assessment requests, written support plans and implemented different approaches to further support children with additional needs.
Experience working overseas, showing adaptability of change in curriculum. I have worked in Bahrain for an English principle in a Montessori nursery.
I have also enjoyed working in New Zealand in private day nurseries. Learning a little Te rao Maori whilst adhering to their curriculum Te Whariki.
I am trained in level 2 Makaton and first aid.

My working hours are Monday-Thursday 7:30-17:00
