My Experience

I work in a nursery supporting children aged 6 months to 4 years. For the first year and a half of my employment, I was based in the toddler room, working with children aged 18 months to 3½ years. In this role, I planned and delivered activities that promoted learning, development, independence, and the acquisition of new skills, while supporting children to reach important developmental milestones.

I am now based in the baby room, where I care for younger children and have expanded my knowledge and experience in supporting early development. This has included developing a strong understanding of safe sleep practices, preparing bottles in line with nursery policies and hygiene standards, and creating age-appropriate activities that support babies’ physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development.

Throughout my role, I have gained experience working with children across a wide age range and have supported children from the newborn stage onwards through both professional and family settings. I have experience promoting children’s personal, social, and emotional development, encouraging independence, and supporting potty and toilet training. I am passionate about providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive according to their individual needs and abilities.

My Qualifications

I am fully trained in paediatric and adult first aid, enabling me to respond confidently and appropriately in emergency situations. I am committed to continuously developing my knowledge and skills to support children’s wellbeing, safety, and development.
To further my professional growth, I am currently working towards my NVQ Level 3 in Childcare, expanding my understanding of child development, safeguarding, and best practices in early years education and care.

My Availability

My availability is fairly flexible as I work in a nursery’s setting, I can mainly do weekend and evenings
