Kirra
Nanny in Lowestoft (also available for babysitting)
My Summary
About Me
My names Kirra, I am 19 years old and I am here to help families however I can. I have plenty of experience with children from newborns to 10 year olds. I will do whatever makes your lives a little bit easier, whether that’s taking the child out of the house to burn off some energy, help with school drop off and pick ups, be an extra pair of hands for the moments that feel a little crazy like dinner bath and bedtime, etc. I am here where you need me, and will do whatever you and your children need to feel comfortable and safe within my care!
My Experience
I have worked in a pre school, with children aged 0-4 years old. I helped create activities and crafts within the classroom to entertain all children with different needs. This helped me gain experience with my time management with each child in the room, to make sure they’re all getting the amount of attention they all need, as well as learning all their routines in the classroom.
I have also volunteered teaching english in Thailand, organising mathematics and literacy lessons that are engaging as well as effective for children aged between 2-8 years. It was so interesting learning about a new culture, whilst being able to make a positive difference in that community.
I have set up child centred events at a sports centre, for children of any age under 12 years, including seasonal parties and bug events. Setting up plenty of stations in a soft play area to interest any child, but safely enough that I can run group games in the soft play so children that go to the stations themselves. This not only promoted confidence in each child, but also gave me time to focus on every child in the room at different points. I ran a summer club for children who’s parents are working in that same centre, this was for children aged 4-10 years, which helped me focus on purely fun activities, that wasn’t just based around different learning techniques.
I’ve been a nanny for different families weekly in France, as a holiday nanny. This ranged from new borns to 10 year olds, this helped me gain trust with each family within a short period of time. Whilst also learning they’re home routines, but also being extra support that the children are in a new environment, therefore might be more held back. I helped where I was needed, some parents wanted me to keep the children out of the chalets building snowmen and going sledging, where as some parents wanted me to keep the children in the warm doing creative and imaginative activities.
I’ve a been a nanny for a family for a month at home in Lowestoft, for 3 children, providing personal care during the summer whilst they were out of school. This included keeping them pre occupied whilst their parents got jobs done at home, taking them out for activities, as well as extra help with meals at home for them too.
I have also recently just gotten back from Corfu where I was a holiday nanny, much similar to France, for different families every week. The set up was similar, but in a totally different environment in the sun, where it was important to keep an eye how long they’re spending it the sun before it becomes unhealthy.
All these experiences are the most impactful ones of my childcare career, where I feel each one has taught me important aspects to look after each child with different needs each time.

- Nannying from £15.00 per hour (gross)
I charge £15 per hour for nannying, and £10 per hour for babysitting (which is from 6pm onwards). All the extra charges I would get receipts for, and the petrol money I work it out per mile.
