About Me
I have qualified teacher status and 10 years experience teaching in schools. I taught in the state sector in Year 6 for 8 years, where I have extensive experience preparing students for SATs. Here I was also Head of English, where I took lead on early reading as well as English from EYFS-Year 6, as well as being Assistant Head. Currently, I am Head of Year 4 at a prestigious South London Prep School, expanding my experience to preparing for 11+ exams.

Jem created a warm, engaging, and supportive environment that allowed our daughter to thrive both academically and personally. Not only has her confidence in maths and literacy grown significantly, but she looks forward to her sessions each week. Jem tailors each lesson to suit her whilst making every topic accessible and fun. His extra tuition on content but also test skills were key in her success in the 7+ exams!
Communication with us as parents has also been excellent – we’re always kept up to date with her progress, and Jem is open, approachable, and genuinely invested in her success. I would highly recommend him as a private tutor!
