My Requirements

We are looking for a kind, reliable and experienced nanny to help care for our lovely 5-year-old daughter after school.

Days/hours: Tuesday–Thursday, 15:15–18:15
Additional: Ad hoc babysitting in the evenings/weekends, though this is not essential.

The role would involve collecting our daughter from school, bringing her home, preparing a meal and spending time playing and doing activities.

Our daughter is autistic, so we are looking for someone who is warm, patient and genuinely comfortable supporting an autistic child. She is a happy, affectionate and fun-loving little girl who enjoys imaginative play, movement, crafts, baking and spending time outdoors. She can be quiet and reserved initially but becomes very chatty and playful once she knows someone.

Experience working with autistic children or children with additional needs would be highly desirable, although the most important thing to us is finding someone caring, patient and understanding.

We are looking for someone who is:

* Reliable and punctual
* Warm, patient and kind
* Experienced with young children
* Comfortable supporting an autistic child
* Ideally experienced with school-age children and/or additional needs
* Looking for a regular, long-term part-time position

We would love to find someone who can become a familiar and trusted person in our daughter’s life, rather than someone who simply provides childcare.
