My Experience

I have been passionate about working with children from a young age and have gained valuable childcare experience across different countries and settings.
I began by volunteering at a nursery in Portugal for five years, where I supported daily activities and helped care for young children. This experience gave me a strong foundation in childcare and confirmed my passion for working with children.

I also worked as a live-in nanny in Ireland for two years, caring for two children aged 3 months and 4 years when I started. This role gave me extensive hands-on experience caring for both a young baby and an older child, including feeding, bottle preparation, nappy changing, sleep routines, play-based learning, and supporting daily routines tailored to each child’s stage of development. Over time, I built strong bonds with the children and supported their growth in a consistent and nurturing environment.

More recently, I worked as a full-time nanny in the UK for two young children aged 14 months and 3 years, where I was responsible for preparing meals, changing nappies, supporting sleep routines, planning age-appropriate activities, and ensuring their safety, happiness, and well-being.
In addition to this, I have also completed two babysitting roles in the UK: one caring for a 1-year-old baby during morning hours, and another in the late afternoon caring for a 9-year-old child, supporting play, routines, and general supervision.

I am confident caring for babies, toddlers, and school-aged children, and I have experience with feeding, bottle preparation, nappy changing, bedtime routines, and engaging children in safe and stimulating activities.

I hold a Paediatric First Aid certificate, have a DBS check, and I am also a confident driver.
I speak Portuguese, English, and Spanish, which can be a wonderful advantage for families interested in multilingual exposure for their children.

Above all, I genuinely love working with children. I am patient, caring, and reliable, and I always strive to create a safe, fun, and nurturing environment where children feel happy, supported, and well cared for.

My Qualifications

I have strong practical experience in childcare, gained through several years of volunteering in a nursery in Portugal, working as a live-in nanny in Ireland for two years, and providing both nanny and babysitting care in the UK.

These experiences have given me the ability to create safe, nurturing, and stimulating environments for children of different ages, while supporting their emotional well-being and development.

I hold a Paediatric First Aid certificate and have a DBS check in place, with the option to obtain an Enhanced DBS if required.

I am passionate about child development and enjoy planning engaging, age-appropriate activities that support learning through play. I also have a particular interest in language development and can introduce Portuguese and Spanish in a fun and natural way.

I am a native Portuguese speaker, fluent in English, and have a good level of Spanish (B2).

I am committed to continuous learning and am planning to pursue further formal childcare qualifications in the future.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
• Nannying from £20.00 per hour (gross)

My rates vary depending on the type of care required, number of children, and hours needed. I am happy to discuss and agree on a fair rate with each family based on their individual needs.
