My Experience

I have been passionate about working with children from a young age and have developed solid experience caring for different age groups over the years.
I began by volunteering at a nursery in Portugal for five years, where I supported daily routines and helped care for young children. This early experience gave me a strong foundation in childcare and confirmed my passion for working with kids.
More recently, I worked as a full-time nanny caring for two young children aged 14 months and 3 years. I was responsible for all aspects of their daily care, including preparing meals, changing nappies, supporting sleep routines, organising engaging and age-appropriate activities, and ensuring their overall safety and well-being.
I am confident caring for babies and toddlers, including feeding, bottle preparation, nappy changing, and establishing consistent routines.
I also assist with child-related household tasks such as laundry, keeping play areas organised, and maintaining a clean and structured environment.
I hold a Paediatric First Aid certificate, have a DBS check, and I am happy to obtain an Enhanced DBS if required. I am also a confident driver.
I speak Portuguese, English, and Spanish, which can be a great advantage in supporting children’s language development.
Above all, I genuinely love working with children. I bring kindness, patience, and a caring approach to my work, and I take pride in helping children grow, feel safe, and develop the skills they need for the world around them.

My Qualifications

I have strong practical experience in childcare, developed through several years of volunteering in a nursery in Portugal, working as a live-in nanny in Ireland for two years, and providing nanny/babysitting in the UK.
These experiences have given me the ability to create safe, nurturing, and stimulating environments for children of different ages, while supporting their emotional wellbeing and development.
I hold a Paediatric First Aid certificate and have a DBS check in place, with the option to obtain an Enhanced DBS if required.
I am passionate about child development and enjoy planning engaging, educational activities that support learning through play. I also have a particular interest in language development and can introduce children to Portuguese and Spanish in a fun and natural way.
I am a native Portuguese speaker, fluent in English, and have a good level of Spanish (B2).
I am committed to continuous learning and am planning to pursue further formal childcare qualifications in the near future
