About Me

I am a single mom. I’m looking for a childminder for my son, who is currently 10 months old for when I return to work. I’m not planning to return to work until September, but I wanted to start planning ahead. By then my son should be 1 year and two months.

My job requires weekend work—Saturdays from 8:30 AM to 6 PM and Sundays from 10:30 AM to 4 PM—so those will likely be my hours if I return to the same role. On weekdays, I’d like my son to attend nursery part-time for social interaction, but I may still need a childminder depending on the schedule and funding. I’ll be applying for government childcare support, so the arrangement needs to meet eligibility. Since nurseries often require a 15-hour minimum and I plan to work around 20 hours weekly, I might need a childminder for the full week.
