About Me
I am an Ofsted registered childminder.
My setting uses both the EYFS and Christian curriculum. My approach to childcare focuses on creating a child-centred environment that is safe, welcoming, and well-organised. I plan age-appropriate activities that encourage early learning, communication, independence, and exploration. I promote positive behaviour by using modelling, praise, and restorative strategies. I support children’s early literacy and numeracy through phonics, stories and engaging Bible stories, songs, and practical play. I place strong value on outdoor play and exploration as an essential part of each child’s daily routine. Above all, I ensure every child is treated with kindness, respect, and understanding.
My Experience
I am an experienced childcare practitioner and trained primary school teacher with over 10 years of experience working with children in both educational and community settings. I am committed to providing a safe, nurturing and stimulating home environment where children can learn, grow and develop at their own pace.
I have worked across Early Years, KS1 and KS2 in multiple primary schools as a teacher and supply teacher, and I have over a decade of experience supporting children through my role as a Children’s Sunday School Teacher. These experiences have strengthened my understanding of child development, safeguarding, behaviour management and learning through play.
My aim is to support each child’s emotional, social, physical and cognitive development in a warm and loving environment, while building strong working partnerships with parents and carers.
