About Me
Hello, I’m a registered childminder and a mum of two, based in Tilgate, close to Tilgate Lake, local parks and the library.
My eldest will be starting at Desmond Anderson Primary School in September, where I will also be offering wraparound care.
I provide a warm, home-from-home environment where children can learn, play and explore. We spend lots of time outdoors, enjoying local days out such as visits to the library, walks around the lake, toddler groups, forest school sessions and exploring National Trust places.
At home, I plan a variety of fun and engaging activities including arts and crafts, messy play, and learning through play.
I aim to support each child’s individual needs and development, while creating a safe, happy and nurturing environment where they feel comfortable and confident.
My Experience
I have over 10 years’ experience working with children across a range of settings. I have been a registered childminder for almost a year and previously worked as a childminder assistant for around two years.
I have also worked in nurseries and preschools, as well as at Great Ormond Street Hospital, supporting children in different environments and stages of development.
Alongside my professional experience, I am a mum of two, which gives me a strong understanding of children’s needs, routines and development.
I am passionate about creating a safe, caring and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow and feel happy.
My Qualifications
I’m fully qualified with a Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education, and I’ve also completed Higher Education studies in the early years field. I regularly update my training to keep my knowledge current, including areas like safeguarding, first aid, and child development.
