About Me

I am Laura, a childminder in the local area. I opened my home up to children in September 2025. I gained my level 3 childcare qualifications in 2014 and continued to work within a childcare setting for a few of years. I then moved on and have worked for Essex Police for over 6 years. Following the birth of my second child, I decided that it was the time for me revisit my love for working with young children and supporting them to grow, learn and develop. I am currently completing further training to make sure that I can offer prospective parents and their children the best childcare service.

My Experience

My youngest is almost 2 years old and my eldest is 4 and recently started school. I have experience working with young children day in and day out and, as mentioned previously I have also spent a number of years working within a nursery setting which had varying age groups. My aim is that children will spend time outside every day, no matter the weather. We love splashing in puddles, feeding the ducks, scavenger hunts and much more and we can't wait to share these experiences with some new friends.

My Availability

I know only too well how overwhelming it can be trying to find the work/life balance when you are returning to work, I aim to help prospective parents and their child(ren) to make this transition as seamless as possible. Whilst I am currently at full capacity, I am in the positing to care for another little one from September 2026 offering childcare Monday through to Thursday (term time only) between the hours of 07:00hrs and 16:30hrs.
