About Me
After-School Nanny/Family Assistant (Chelsea, London SW3)
A friendly family based in Chelsea is looking for a kind, energetic and responsible after-school nanny or university student to support two lovely children (aged 10 and 13) during weekday afternoons (Monday to Friday).
This role (starting on 1 September 2026) would particularly suit a student or graduate interested in education, psychology, childcare or teaching.
This position is linked to a diplomatic posting and is expected to run until mid-2028, offering excellent stability for the right candidate.
My Requirements
Working Hours
Monday to Friday: 4:00pm (or 4:30pm)–8:00pm
Additional evening babysitting by prior arrangement, approx 2x a week
This role includes:
- Welcoming the children home from school
- Supervising homework and encouraging good study habits
- Preparing simple evening meals for the children & do the after dinner clean up
- Helping with school bags, uniforms and organisation for the following day
- Accompanying the children to occasional activities if required
- Creating a calm, positive and engaging after-school environment
- Occasional babysitting
We're looking for someone who:
- Enjoys working with older children
- Is warm, patient and dependable, yet assertive
- Can confidently supervise homework, particularly at lower secondary level & has experience with ADHD/neurodiversity
- Is organised & proactive
- Has excellent spoken English
- Previous childcare experience is highly desirable
- References and right to work in the UK are essential
