Guildford family seeking nanny housekeeper: 15 hrs over 3 days, days flexible, no early starts
About Me
We’re a friendly, easy-going family in Guildford: my wife, me, and our daughter Maya, who is 23 months and full of personality. She loves being outdoors, and getting thoroughly involved in whatever is happening around her.
We both work full time, so home is where things slow down.
What matters to us is finding someone who feels part of things rather than kept at arm’s length. We’re straightforward employers: paying properly and in time, hours respected, and we won’t spring changes on you without asking first.
My Requirements
Three days a week, 14:30 to 19:30, live-out. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday suit us best, but we’re genuinely flexible on which days, so if you already have a family two days a week we can work around them.
Maya is at nursery 8am to 5pm, so the shape of the day is:
- 14:30 to 17:00: laundry, tidying, keeping the house ticking over, the food shop and errands.
- 17:00: nursery pickup, short drive.
- 17:00 to 19:30: sole charge through play, bath, and bed (sometimes with handover just before bed)
There’s no obligation to cook for the two of us, though if it’s something you enjoy and fancy doing occasionally, it would be very welcome and appreciated.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience with toddlers and confidence in sole charge
- Someone equally happy with the household side, not just tolerating it
- Own car and clean licence, happy to pay mileage.
- Paediatric first aid, enhanced DBS and contactable references
We’d like someone who stays with us for years rather than months, and we’ll do our part to make that worth it.
