My Experience
As a Secondary School Supply Teacher, I have developed strong classroom management skills and the ability to deliver engaging lessons across different year groups and ability levels. Working in varied school environments has sharpened my adaptability—I quickly build rapport with students, follow lesson plans effectively, and adjust my teaching style to meet the needs of each class. Whether covering English, humanities, or general subjects, I ensure continuity in learning while maintaining high expectations for behaviour and progress. My experience has given me valuable insight into the KS3 and KS4 curriculum, exam preparation techniques, and strategies to motivate reluctant learners.
I have also worked as a Teaching Assistant in Primary Schools, where I supported pupils with SEND needs, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties. This role deepened my understanding of differentiated instruction and inclusive education. I worked one-on-one and in small groups, helping children develop core literacy and numeracy skills through tailored interventions.
