I’ve truly fallen in love with this job. There’s something incredibly special about watching children grow and develop — and being part of that journey. From trips to the park, swimming sessions, and playing games in the garden to quieter moments like reading stories or helping with homework, I always aim to create a warm, fun, and safe environment where the children feel confident and cared for.
I’m bubbly, patient, and approachable, and I work hard to build strong, trusting relationships with both children and parents. Having the children see me as part of their family and knowing they feel comfortable and secure around me is the most rewarding part of what I do. I’m also flexible and reliable, and happy to fit in with each family's unique routine and needs.
My Experience
I have a strong background in working with children across a range of settings. I previously worked as an exercise and weight management coach for children under 16, where I supported young people in making healthy lifestyle choices in a fun and engaging way. I also worked as a PE teacher for a company that delivered physical education sessions across primary schools, helping children develop their confidence, coordination, and teamwork through sport and activity.
Alongside this, I have previous experience working in a variety of nurseries across Sheffield. This gave me the opportunity to support children at an early age with their learning, development, and emotional wellbeing, and helped me build a strong foundation in childcare practices and early years education.
Currently, I work with a family providing daily school runs and after-school care for two children, aged 6 and 9. My responsibilities include preparing meals, supporting with routines, and creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment after school. One of the children has autism and ADHD, which has given me valuable experience in working with neurodiverse children and supporting their specific needs. I focus on maintaining consistent routines, building strong, trusting relationships, and showing patience, empathy, and understanding at all times.

I am currently available Monday - Friday 7.30-5.30pm during the summer holidays until I go back to work with my current family in September.
