About Me
Hi, I’m Sammy-Jayne, a 22-year-old single mum to my wonderful three-year-old daughter, Inaaya. It’s just the two of us at home every day, and we’ve been through a lot of changes recently—most significantly/recently, the loss of my dad, who was a huge part of both of our lives and our main support system. As I take steps to return to work and rebuild some stability for us, I’m really hoping to find a gentle, trustworthy, and understanding childminder who can become a consistent and supportive presence in Inaaya’s life.
Inaaya is bright, loving, and very sociable. She’s an only child, but I have a best friend with two children around her age, and we’ve raised them closely together, so she’s used to being part of a little tribe. She loves making new friends, thrives on interaction, and doesn’t enjoy being left to play alone. Even just one-on-one engagement makes her feel secure and happy. She’s incredibly intelligent and was speaking in three- to four-word sentences by the time she was just 18 months old—so she’s very vocal, curious, and expressive. I’m looking for someone who can not only care for her practically but also nurture her emotionally during this time of transition.
My Requirements
I’m currently in the process of starting a new part-time job which involves working a few long shifts during the week and on some weekends.
I’m looking for a registered childminder or experienced babysitter, local to Streatham or Clapham, for support with childcare whilst I work on weekly alternating saturdays or sundays (Saturday 1 week, Sunday the next, etc). Saturdays will be 8am-7pm (11hrs), Sundays will be 9am-5pm (8hrs).
I’m hoping to find someone nearby who is warm, understanding of young children’s needs, and can create a calm and nurturing environment for Inaaya in my absence.
