Part Time Nanny Job in Richmond
About Me
Part-Time Nanny Needed – Teddington / Kingston Area
We are a friendly family based in Teddington looking for a kind, reliable and experienced nanny who lives locally (ideally in Teddington, Kingston, Twickenham, Hampton or nearby).
We have two children:
* a 3-year-old, who attends nursery full-time;
* a newborn expected at the end of October.
Hours
* Approximately 20 hours per week.
* We would prefer shorter shifts (around 4–5 hours) on more days each week rather than a few long 8–9 hour shifts.
* Regular weekend availability is important (Saturday and Sunday for approximately 4–5 hours each day, not full days).
Pay
* £15 per hour (net)
Responsibilities
The role will mainly involve helping with the newborn and supporting our family as we adjust to life with a new baby. Occasionally, you may also be asked to collect our older child from nursery.
As our baby is due at the end of October, we’re looking for someone who can also be on call throughout October. When I go into labour, we will need someone who can come to our home—possibly during the night—to stay with our older child while we are at the hospital.
In most cases, this would simply involve staying in the house while our child sleeps. You’re very welcome to sleep as well. If needed, the following morning you may need to help with breakfast and get our child ready for nursery if my husband has not returned home by then.
Because every newborn is different, we’re still unable to define the exact schedule after the birth, so we’re looking for someone who is flexible and happy to adapt as our family’s needs become clearer.
If you’re warm, dependable, experienced with babies and young children, and live nearby, we’d love to hear from you!
My Requirements
We are looking for a warm, reliable and flexible part-time nanny to support our family after the arrival of our second baby. The role will mainly involve caring for our newborn, with occasional help with our 3-year-old daughter. We also need someone who can be on call throughout October to stay with our daughter while we are at the hospital if I go into labour. Flexibility is important, as our schedule will depend on the baby’s needs.
