About Me
I have a Masters in Autism research, receiving a First and winning both the exceptional performance prize and the researched based learning prize at the University of Stirling. I am also soon to receive another masters in Clinical Psychology at the University of Edinburgh. I am 26 years old, and have worked with Autistic people and people with additional needs my whole career, which I am extremely passionate about. I am now based in Edinburgh.
My Experience
I currently work part time as a Research Assistant for the Eating Disorders and Autism collaborative at the University of Edinburgh. I have also worked as a Higher level Teaching Assistant at a SEN school in England and as a Senior support worker for Autistic adults with additional needs. These roles have included personal care duties, administering medication, providing sensory enrichment, creating personalised learning resources and working closely with each individual and their families to ensure effective, tailored care. I have also co-authored numerous publications within the field of Autism with more papers currently in submission for publication.
My Qualifications
Achieved: Masters of Science in Autism Research (Grade: First), BSc in Psychology, Care Certificate, HLTA status, level 3 health and social care (Grade: Distinction*; A*)
Ongoing: Master of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology
