About Me

Hello! My name is Lucy Tonkovyd. I live in Stevenage and I am a kind, reliable, and responsible person who truly enjoys working with children. I’m calm, caring, and always make sure children feel safe, seen, and happy in my care. I know how important the after-school time is — a warm welcome, a little snack, and kind support can make a big difference in a child’s day.

My Experience

I have hands-on experience raising my daughter and looking after my nephew here in the UK. I recently completed my Level 2 Certificate in Caring for Children and Young People, as well as Paediatric First Aid training. I’ve also supported children aged 4 to 11 with play, simple meals, and emotional care after school. I understand how to help children transition smoothly from school to home, keeping them safe, calm, and cared for.

My Qualifications

DBS check: in process
Level 2 Childcare Certificate (CACHE, UK)
First Aid Certificate (3 hours, online)
Currently improving my English (A2–B1 level)
Happy to help with light homework, snacks, or creative play

My Availability

I am available Monday to Friday for school pickups and after-school care, including early afternoon until early evening (e.g. 2:30 pm – 6:30 pm).
I live locally and can reach schools in and around Stevenage easily and on time.
