Live-Out Nanny Position – Starting September 2025 – Brentwood, Essex

Hello! I’m Sarah, and I live in Brentwood, Essex with my husband Sam and our two wonderful children, Max (4) and Poppy (2). We are looking for a kind, reliable, and experienced live-out nanny to join our family from September 2025. The role is approximately 4.5 days per week (around 40 hours, to be agreed mutually).

About Our Family

Max is a happy, sociable, and loving little boy who enjoys playing with cars, music, and a good game of hide and seek. Poppy is a cheerful, chatty girl who loves singing, drawing, and playing with her dolls. Both children adore being outside and are happiest in the garden on the swing and slide.

Starting in September, Max will be attending school, and Poppy will continue at a local nursery. I work from home four days a week, while my husband commutes to London.

Medical Information

Max has some medical needs, including epilepsy and hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar). His epilepsy is well managed, his last seizure was in October 2024, and he takes daily medication, which you will not be responsible for administering. However, in the rare event of a medical emergency, you would need to administer rescue medication (training will be provided). Since I work from home, there will be limited times when you are the sole caregiver for Max.

Your Responsibilities
• Getting the children ready for nursery/school
• School and nursery drop-offs and pick-ups
• Caring for the children after school
• Light household tasks while the children are out (e.g., tidying up, children’s laundry)
• Preparing dinner for the family

We’re Looking For

Someone who is warm, responsible, and confident caring for young children, ideally with previous nanny or childcare experience. Experience or willingness to learn about epilepsy and low blood sugar is important.
