About Me

Hello! I’m Emily and I’m currently an English Literature Student at the University of Manchester. I enjoy reading and musical theatre in my spare time and have experience working and as babysitter and within schools.

My Experience

. Worked in secondary school’s tutoring English lit/lang at GCSE level
. Had several babysitting jobs over the last 2 years looking after a range of ages
. Volunteered with the National Youth Theatre to create a piece of theatre with SEN children in schools in Manchester
. Worked on placement teaching Drama workshops at Claremont Primary school
. Worked for 2 months in the summer of 2024 at one of YMCA’s Spanish camps teaching English and sports activities to children

My Qualifications

I have 10 GCSES between grades 9-7, including a 9 in English Literature. I achieved A*s in English, Drama and P.E A level and have just completed my second year of undergraduate study at the University of Manchester. Additionally I have my first aid qualification and a UK driving license.

Outstanding childcare for Sen child

Emily has been supporting my 9 year old son who is home educated (due to SEN) on a wednesday few a few months. She has provided consistent, calm, flexible care and support in response to my son's needs at any particular time. Emily has a great manner, with clear communication and boundaries. I would highly recommend her for babysitting or tutoring.
