About Me
Hi there, my name is Tel and I’m an FA accredited football coach with 5 years experience of coaching age groups between 18 months and 17 years old.
I’m a positive, friendly, patient and committed coach who is devoted to guiding children's development in football and in life. The growing epidemic of fixation on screens has caused too many young people to miss out on crucial years for developing necessary skills to participate in football and sports in general, along with the social skills that come with it. Success for me is seeing the development of these skills, the growing confidence and autonomy it instills and most importantly, the longevity: continuing to play sports into adulthood!
My sessions are tailored to the individual to ensure they are physically demanding, fun, engaging and appropriately challenging. My methods are based upon skill acquisition, technical proficiency, decision making and game understanding. I strongly believe that young players need to learn the game of football and not just the pretty tricks you see on instagram.
My Experience
My background is in teaching where I taught English abroad for more than 4 years in schools, private centers and tutoring. During that time I embarked on my 5 year journey into the world of football coaching beginning in schools and academies before being selected to join the AC Milan academy in Vietnam. There, I was mentored by the head of the academy where I developed my skills using the AC milan methodology and raised my standards to that of an elite football institution. I was responsible for creating and managing sessions for multiple age groups across the academy. When I arrived back in the UK, I decided to become the full time carer for my father who has Alzheimer’s for the last 3 years, so I'm very much ‘domestically trained’ (as my mother would proudly say!) with cooking, cleaning and organising.
As of January this year, my father was moved into an incredible care home where thankfully, he is absolutely thriving: a care home with plenty of activities, music and all female carers can make an old caribbean man happy! Since then I’ve been coaching full time. I'm currently the head coach for two U10 teams in west london.

England FA level 1: Introduction to coaching football
England FA safeguarding certificate
Scotland FA: Youth Adult Coaching Award + certificate
ITC Level 3 Award in First Aid for Sport, Exercise and Fitness
BA Hons: Applied Psychology and Sociology (2:1)
