My Requirements

We are looking for a warm, reliable and experienced part-time nanny to join our family in Islington N1.

**Guaranteed hours: 13 hours per week**

* **Monday:** 9:00am–5:00pm
* **Friday:** 12:00pm–5:00pm

Our youngest attends a childminder on the other weekdays, so Monday and Friday are our regular nanny days.

There is also the possibility of **additional hours for the right person**, particularly if you live locally and would be interested in helping with some light household/family tasks alongside childcare. We already have a cleaner, so there is **no deep cleaning** involved. Additional hours and responsibilities can be discussed depending on what works for both of us.

**Start date:** As soon as possible. Our current nanny has been with our family for over a year and is now leaving childcare to change careers, so we are looking for someone lovely to take over the role.

### The role

Your main responsibility will be caring for our nearly 2-year-old son. This includes:

* Engaging him in play, reading, outings and age-appropriate activities
* Taking him to local parks, playgroups and activities
* Preparing simple meals and snacks for the children
* Keeping children's areas tidy
* Tidying toys and clearing up after meals
* Children's laundry and other light child-related household tasks

We also have a **7-year-old son who is at school during the day**. Occasionally, particularly after school or during school holidays, the role will involve caring for both boys. He is friendly, independent and very used to having a nanny as part of our family routine.

### A big plus, but not essential

**Portuguese-speaking.** We are a Brazilian-British bilingual family and would love our children to continue hearing and speaking Portuguese regularly.

### We are looking for someone who is:

* Experienced and confident with toddlers and school-age children
* Warm, affectionate and genuinely enjoys being with children
* Reliable and punctual
* A good communicator
* Proactive and comfortable planning activities and outings
* Happy to become a consistent and trusted part of our children's routine

We are a friendly Brazilian-British family based in **Islington N1**, with excellent transport links. We are hoping to find someone who will enjoy getting to know our boys and ideally stay with our family for some time.
