About Me
I am a warm, caring, hard working and friendly mum to two children. I am a qualified primary school teacher with a passion for nurturing and supporting children and their families. I have a 9yo daughter and a 12yo son. My daughter is diagnosed with ASD, ADHD and Dyslexia so i am a mum who knows the potential daily challenges. Although i do not teach now i have always worked and volunteered with children and their families. I also love animals and have three dogs, we love to get outdoors with them.
I am happy to help and support families in whichever way they need. I am happy to babysit and clean the kitchen, or do some laundry, maybe prep or cook a meal. I would be happy to help children with homework and reading. I also have a lot of experience with babies. As a mum who has had a busy life i feel i know what help families need.
My Experience
I worked as a teacher for 14 years but gave up once i had my children and they were little. During my years teaching i worked with children ages 2 years to 12 years.
I have also carried out two voluntary roles for Barnardos and a family charity in Knowsley. These role saw me support children in care and also children living with their parents but just needed some help, support and guidance.
I then owned my own children role play/soft play centre and built a community of mums who visited us regularly. I would plan, organise and lead themed events, mother and baby sessions and i trained as a baby massage instructor.
I have worked as a family support worker, working with families in crisis and at risk of children being removed. I have worked in their homes to support parents and care for the children.
