Salary: £40,000 per year
Hours: Full-time role, 5 days per week, 7:45 am to 6:15pm per day

About Root & Bloom
Root & Bloom is a new boutique home nursery in Stratford for children aged 0–3, combining the warmth of a home environment with high-quality early years education.
Our approach brings together Montessori-inspired learning, nature and Forest learning, live music sessions, sensory and creative play. Located in Stratford, seconds from West Ham Park, we aim to give children the best of a countryside childhood in the heart of London.

The Role
We're looking for a warm, experienced and confident Early Years Practitioner or Childminder to become a Childminder and help bring Root & Bloom to life.
You'll lead the day-to-day care, learning and development of a small group of children alongside a childminding assistant, while working closely with Root & Bloom's founder.
This could be a great opportunity for an experienced nursery practitioner who would love to move away from a large nursery environment and work with a much smaller group of children (ratios of 1:3) in a nurturing home setting.
The successful candidate will need to become individually registered with Ofsted as a childminder (if not already registered) working from the Root & Bloom premises. We will support you through the registration process.

What we're looking for:
* Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification or above (level 2 is also considered, or appropriate childminding childcare training if you’re from a childminding background)
* Experience caring for babies and children under 3
* Strong knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding
* Paediatric First Aid qualification, or willingness to renew
* A warm, nurturing and child-led approach
* Confidence planning activities and tracking children's development
* Excellent communication with children, parents and colleagues
* An interest in Montessori, outdoor learning, nature, music and creative play
* Willingness to complete Ofsted childminder registration
* Strong references or reviews from parents if from a childminding background

Desirable: Room Leader/Senior Practitioner experience, existing childminder registration with Ofsted, Montessori or Forest School experience.
